Alicia Bickel
Alicia is an undergraduate student and John Harvard Scholar at Harvard University and a research intern in the Harris laboratory who is currently pursuing a degree in Integrative Biology with a Secondary Field in Folklore and Mythology. She is interested in evolutionary genetics, cryptic genetics, and organism development. She spends her free time pampering her two cats and throwing ceramics.
Alicia works closely with Dr. Hannah Grunwald to explore cryptic variation in Astyanax mexicanus eye size using zebrafish as a model organism. She is currently developing her senior thesis and hopes to get a D.V. M. – PhD one day.
